Recently, I've stumbled upon a book called 50 successful Harvard application essays. It's just one of those books scattered around my house. Reading the book made me feel 1) depressed because I don't write as well as any of them 2) inspired because maybe, just maybe, I have a sliver of a chance of getting in. And with that, I only hope my attempts of practicing (to write my essay) will be progressive. Truth be told, my writing skills unfold only after everybody else is asleep. And to be quite frank, it sucks.
On the bright side though, I fell in love with plenty of essays especially one by Chi Zhang called "Simple Sentences" and I hope you like it too. Click here to read the essay, accompanied with the commentary. And it's so astounding how our talents 'kick in only after curfew', and I believe that I, myself, am a paradox as well.
If you want to, you can buy the book here. It is worth the wait and the money. I mean, if you, personally, enjoy reading other people's stories. Because I know I do.
And about the photos... Two words: shabby chic. AHAHAHA ok i'll stop now. Have a great day! :)
